Gas Decontamination Building Ruislip Manor

Established by local resident Winifred Wakling in 1964 "Fourways" initially met at the Second World War former Gas Decontamination Building on Pembroke Road.

The name "Fourways" was coined for the club in reference to the fact that they met near the crossroads at the top of Vicoria Road where you could go in one of "Four Ways".

The club is a member of the National Association of Women's Clubs and these days meet on a Thursday afternoon each week at Ruislip Manor Methodist Church Hall on Torrington Road in Ruislip Manor between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

There are breaks in the meetings for Christmas, Easter and during the whole of August but otherwise meet each week.

There is free street parking all around the church and the 114 bus stops on Victoria Road at a stop for Torrington Road and from the stop to the hall is around a two minute walk.

Fourways 50th anniversary
In 2014 the club celebrated it's 50th anniversary and held a special event to commemorate this which was attended by members past and present and the Mayor and Mayoress of Hillingdon, Cllr Allan Kauffman and Lynne Kauffman.

The club are not affiliated to any church or religious group and open to all women.

There are often visiting speakers, social events including quizzes and games nights and occasional trips out to theatres and for meals.

A small charge of £60  is made each year to cover the cost of the speakers, hall hire etc. Extra charges may have to be levied for trips out etc.
