Sweeney's
Formerly Alton's the outfitters and school uniform shop in Ruislip High Street now a trendy pub.
With its loud music (sometimes live bands) this pub is aimed at the younger set and attracts them in droves. Can get very busy especially at weekends, queues to get in are not unheard of!
Where it is, by road
Midway between Ickenham Road / Midcroft cross roads and the traffic lights at King Lodge in Ruislip High Street. There is no car park and apart from parking outside, outside of the restricted times, little parking locally. If you choose to park where you should not, or not pay in the local pay and display car park, where the nearest is accessed from Kingsend, then be warned that wardens patrol on mopeds so fast that Jasper Carrot would be hard pushed to keep up.

Access via public transport
Good. Five minutes walk from Ruislip tube station and several buses stop close by. See the travel section on the Special Links page
Pub Crawl Potential
Good. The George is five minutes away (out the door and turn right), or left to The Laurels You could also walk to The Orchard and the White Bear via Ickenham Road (out, right and across the road) but this leaves you with less options for public transport. Better to start there and work back...
Ruislip Online review
Wooden floors, high stools and plenty of standing areas mean this pub can cram them in. If you are going out for a quiet pint then don't go here! However, if you are young and looking for a vibrant night out this could be the place for you!

Danny the manager and all his staff always make my wife and I feel very welcome. Some of the pictures of my old town ( Dublin ) make me feel at home. The beer is good and reasonably priced. With two large TV's and a drop down screen you get a good view of all the Football ,GAA etc...They also have a good air condition system. Most other pubs I've visited in Ruislip (especially when it's warm ) are very uncomfortable as they get very warm.
Sweeney's gets my vote (stop press, see below!).

Well after my last visitors views things have changed dramatically in Sweeney's. The younger members of staff still make us feel welcome (while they are still working there -- staff turnover is quite high there), but the manager just grunts (When he recognises us).
The beer is poor now too. You'd see more life on Mars than you would in a pint of larger in Sweeney's. Would it be possible to remove my previous visitors views as I no longer think Sweeney's deserves that praise?

I
think Sweeneys is a lovely pub very friendly and always good at the weekend,
with it’s live music and local friendly people!!
