The time now in Ruislip |

Bar Lulas it was, The Listen Inn it became - now The Laurel
Once a shop, now a pub. Situated by the traffic lights in
Ruislip High Street (Near the tube station), yet another establishment to change
its name. Initially opening as Bar Lulas in 2004 it was refitted and changed its
name to The Listen Inn, and surly there can be no better name for a music
bar?
Inside the offerings include music most nights (sometimes live) and sports on two TV's.
Refitted in 2004 it is a smart looking place, no doubt frequented by the young
smart set. It is suggested that if you seek a quiet pint you avoid evenings at
weekend!
Where it is, by road
At the southern end of Ruislip High Street, by the traffic lights. It has no car park and street parking is minimal. There are car parks behind the shops opposite (access via Kingsend) on a pay and display basis, traffic wardens are beamed in by Scottie, so don't push your luck!

Access via public transport
Good. Very near Ruislip Tube station and bus garage, look at the "Special Links" page for more information in the "travel" section.
Pub Crawl Potential
Good. There are two more pubs in the High Street, Sweeney's, and The George. Also Ruislip Manor is only 15 minutes walk away, turn left at the lights. You could also walk to The Orchard and the White Bear via Kingsend but this leaves you with less options for public transport. Better to start there and work back...
Ruislip Online review
Small "pub" with the usual fare of lagers and spirits, but no real ale, not visited since the refit and name change other than to take a few pictures. Worth a visit if only to judge it for yourself, when I called it was very quiet so a firm opinion could not be formed. Sports shown regularly and live music from time to time.
