The Bell

Situated in West End Road, Ruislip Gardens. Almost certainly built in the 1930's The Bell was, up until a few years ago, the "local" for the Ruislip Gardens estate. Trouble was they didn't drink! So along came a developer and now it is Mr Q's sports and pool bar, attracting in the main a younger set.

Inside you will find several pool tables and wall to wall TV's showing MTV, or similar. If this is your scene then you are in heaven.

Where it is, by road

West End Road. Find Ruislip Gardens along this road and it is next to the railway bridge. There is a small car park by it otherwise street parking is usually available.

Pub Web Site

Real ale

Thought not to offer any.

Access via public transport

Good. Ruislip Gardens tube is 100 yards away and the E7 (search for E7 in site) runs past the door.

Pub Crawl Potential

Not good. You could get the tube one stop to South Ruislip and go to the The Middlesex Arms or walk across the park opposite the pub about 3/4 mile to the Black Bull.

Ruislip Online review

To follow - if I have to, but whilst I have nothing against it I suspect it is not my kind of place.

As at August 2006

The Bell has recently been bought from the brewery by its landlady, Rose. Though the £1.60 pints of Carlsberg are now £2.35, which
resulted in the loss of a few regulars, the prices are now in line with other full price pubs.

The Bell is also now selling fresh home cooked food. Finally they are looking into offering real ale, so if you are a real ale drinker let
Rose or the staff know.

The landlady Rose and her staff are second to none. For a friendly welcome and good home cooked food this is the place to be.

Anything special?

Not really. When the model Jordan lived in Ruislip she was spotted in there.
